Installation of Peranso

Peranso uses a common installation script that presents a familiar installation interface to most users of the Microsoft Windows platform. Installation proceeds as follows :

  1. Download the Peranso distribution file, named PeransoSetup.exe.

  2. Double click on PeransoSetup.exe to launch the Peranso installation software.

  3. When running the Peranso installation software, you need to answer various questions such as which folder to use for Peranso. These questions are self-explanatory. In a normal installation, you should accept the default settings.

  4. After the installation has completed, launch Peranso by selecting the program from the All Programs folder of your Windows Desktop. The name of the Peranso executable will be “Peranso_XYZ”, where “XYZ” refers to the version number of your Peranso copy (e.g., 230 refers to version 2.30).

  5. As long as you have not registered the software yet, a "Reminder" dialog box will appear at start up. Click the "OK" button to proceed, after wich Peranso will launch. Trial versions remain operational for 10 minutes.

Getting Started

After you have downloaded and installed the software, please read the tutorials and the online documentation to get familiar with the software and its operation.

Hardware and Operating System requirements

bullet Peranso runs on Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) and
Windows 8.

bullet Although Peranso has been developed as a Microsoft Windows product, several end users are running Peranso successfully on other operating systems too, using appropriate Windows emulation software (also called desktop virtualization software):

- On Apple Macintosh computers, we advise to use Parallels Desktop For Mac or the WINE emulator (free of charge), which delivers very good performance in combination with Peranso.

- On Linux systems, we advise VMWare Player (free of charge) or the WINE emulator (free of charge), which has been reported to run Peranso flawlessly on Ubuntu.
